They are meant as ‘concert’ pieces rather than they serve a certain pedagogical goal.
This new edition by Schott has been released in 2017.
In this edition The messenger on the hill is replaced by Tangerine.
The reason for this is that Boosey & Hawkes already published an arrangement of The messenger on the hill for organ.
