Dag en nacht

For: soprano recorders, alto recorders, piano (or harp), bass (or bassoon) and percussion

Dag en nacht (Day and night) was commissioned by ‘Huismuziek ‘ with authorization from the ‘Fonds voor de Scheppende Toonkunst’. It is meant to be used by music school ensembles of which the pupils have had about three years of lessons.

Summary
‘Day and night’ consists of twelve short pieces which follow the course of a day.
For instance: we start with a lullaby at 22.00 hours, then at 01.00 we have a nice dream, at 07.00 we wake up happily with a ‘Good morning’ tune and at 11.00 we follow history lessons. In daytime we follow the course of a school-day by playing a medieval tune.
